The last three months gave me more than enough reasons to stay bullish on our mission: standardising and branding existing healthcare facilities into a single platform that powers the next generation of healthcare access and delivery in Africa and beyond. In Q2 2026, we onboarded 3 new branded locations, including the first Rivia Hospital. We closed Village Capital's investment by end of Q1 and quickly followed it with Chanzo Capital, who invested to lead our seed round. We partnered with Yango to bring healthcare to drivers and riders. And our B2B employer membership business grew quarter-on-quarter. Read on for the full picture.
Key Q2 Highlights
3 new branded facilities in Accra – East Legon, Adenta and North Kaneshie are part of the first batch of branded Rivia facilities using our refined, lighter model of branding stable and decent physician-owned clinics, replacing our earlier focus on "run-down" clinics. We held our integration and standards workshop for these providers on 27th June 2026 at ibis Styles Hotel, walking them through Rivia's operating model and must-have standards.

Our first Rivia Branded Hospital – Focus Hospital in North Kaneshie (one of the three onboarded above) is now part of the Rivia chain: a 40-bed facility with a surgical theatre, maternity ward, dental clinic, and its own ambulance which is now available chain-wide. The Focus Hospital is currently going through Rivia branding upgrade.

Seed funding – Closed our first Seed round tranche from Chanzo Capital, who is leading the round. Chanzo backed us at pre-seed and has stayed one of our strongest believers in this model. We're in conversations with additional investors to close out the round sooner than later.
Strategic Partnerships – Partnered with Diagnostic Center Limited (DCL), Accra's first full-service ultramodern private diagnostic facility, to co-locate Rivia-branded clinics across three of their branches. We are starting in the residential community of Amrahia this July, expanding to Kumasi in August – our first branded location outside Greater Accra – and opening a satellite doctor's office at their East Legon branch. We're also integrating our virtual doctor platform into DCL's offerings so their patients can reach Rivia's doctors remotely.

Struck a strategic partnership with Yango and Gigmile to bring virtual and in-person care to their drivers and riders through Rivia. They chose us because one platform gets them multiple healthcare providers, full technology integration, and embedded care delivery in one go. Over 5,000 users have already signed up in the first month alone.

Ghana's largest bank, GCB Bank engaged us for preliminary advisory on setting up 16 community health centres under its CSR programme. Our plan: become the brand partner for these centres, working alongside the Ghana Health Service as public health authority and day-to-day operator. Once finalised, this adds 16 Rivia-vetted facilities to our platform in one move – making quality care easier to reach for patients and members nation-wide.

Traction and Impact
Financial Performance
Rivia Access, our B2B employer membership business, is still the smaller of our two revenue lines next to owned clinics operations – but it's the one growing fastest. We remain bullish that Rivia Access is our clearest path to commercial scale mid-term.
Private health insurance penetration sits at only ~2% in Ghana – roughly 5% across Sub-Saharan Africa – and employer-sponsored healthcare spending is projected to grow. To position Rivia Access to capture this massive opportunity, we're executing on three fronts:
- Grow the Rivia provider chain and referral network into an integrated, high-quality care delivery platform - with a target to sign up 150 facilities by year-end.
- Make employer adoption easier through simple product design, accessible/affordable pricing, and our new Pay Later plan
- Deliver an end-to-end online-to-offline care experience for members, including offering free virtual doctor consults.
Also, we closed out our 2024 and 2025 year-end audited financials this quarter!
Platform Scale & Impact
Since January 2025, patient visits across our providers using RiviaOS fully have grown an average of 36% month-on-month, totaling 96,560 visits by end of June 2026. Over that same stretch, RiviaOS has processed healthcare services. See additional impact details below:
Provider Expansion Strategy
As we scale our provider ecosystem, we've formally organized our provider strategy into three tiers:
- Tier 1: Rivia-Owned and Operated
- Tier 2: Partner-Owned; Rivia-Branded
- Tier 3: Provider Partners
As we scale our provider platform to capture B2B employer revenue via Rivia Access, Provider Partners are our biggest growth lever on the supply side – responsible for over 70% of facilities in our ecosystem.
Regardless of tier, every provider carries the Rivia flag, adheres to our 12-point standards, and runs on RiviaOS – for clinical workflows, member management, billing, appointments, and referrals.
People
I'm thrilled to welcome Dennis Oppong Banahene to the team as our Finance Lead. Dennis brings 7 years of finance and accounting experience from Aya Data Ghana, Regimanuel Estate Management Company, and Melcom Ghana Limited, along with strong data analytics chops. Excited to have his leadership as we keep building.

Product and Tech
Three major platform launches this quarter:
- Rivia Express – our digital marketplace for healthcare services, natively integrated into the RiviaOS suite, giving users one place to discover and book care across our entire network of vetted quality facilities: owned, branded, and partner. Rivia Express is now the digital front door to the entire Rivia provider ecosystem targeting both members and non-members. See more here: https://access.riviaclinics.com/facilities
- RampOS – we've decoupled member management from clinical workflows with this new module on the RiviaOS platform. It handles employer portals, member accounts, membership lifecycle and billing, member appointment bookings and membership balance tracking. As Rivia Access scales, RampOS lets us bring on new employers without scaling headcount and ops at the same rate.

- RiviaAI – our provider-facing clinical intelligence platform, embedded in RiviaOS, brings real-time medical report generation and diagnosis support to the point of care. Launched in partnership with minoHealth AI, RiviaAI draws on Rivia providers historical medical records alongside a broader medical dataset – our first real step toward making every provider in our network faster and less administratively burdened. More use cases are in pilot.

Outdoor Campaign
In my previous Stakeholder update, I shared that we were launching outdoor billboards and community signage to strengthen our B2B brand and build trust. We've since installed 4 billboards, 200 lampposts, and 20 community signs in vantage locations across Accra – if you're in the city, chances are you've already spotted one.

Looking Forward
Sales conversion is slower than expected. Limited provider locations, a relatively new B2B brand, and a 2-person sales team are the main culprits – and we're actively working to fix this.
- TPA registration – in progress.
- Closing the Seed round – in progress.
Thank you for building Rivia with us. If anything here sparks a question, an introduction, interest in our approach or just a conversation - my door is always open. Reach out anytime.
